New Class in 09-10 Course Description for World Studies
The purpose of this course
is to introduce students to a broad range of world studies. Discussion will focus upon geography, politics, the global economy,
the environment, and the cultures of the countries. The course is designed to provide the student with an initial
overview to inform, to provoke, and to make students think seriously about the pressing political, economic, social, and ecological
concerns in today's world. Students will do research and read information from the textbook. Classroom presentations and
a written paper will be part of the student’s grade.
