This will be my 15th year of teaching at Northwood-Kensett Jr./Sr. High School. Before moving here, I taught for two years at Aurelia Community School. I teach 8th Grade Social Studies, Psychology, Sociology, American Government, Economics, Current Events, Social Problems,
World Studies, and State and Local Government. Social Studies Department Chairperson and Student Council Advisor are some
of my other duties. I am currently coaching JH volleyball and JH girls' basketball. In my career, I have teaching experience
in 6th Grade, 7th Grade, and 10th Grade Social Studies courses, and in exploratories of keyboarding, Iowa History and
drama. I have coaching experience in JH football, JH boys' basketball, HS volleyball, HS boys' basketball, and HS
baseball. I student taught at Roland-Story High School and graduated from Iowa State University with a major in Political Science and a minor in History. This past year I received my Master of Social Sciences from the
University of Northern Iowa. I graduated from Dumont High School over 20 years ago. My wife, Cheryl, and I have two children, Paige and Ross.
